What to do if your high traffic tower is not working how you want it.
Before contacting us please troubleshoot the below simple steps as they most likely will rectify your problem.
Spray mechanism fails to activate
- Check that power is on.
When you turn the power on;
The Red LED light will blink fast when unit is switched on and function set.
The Green LED light will blink when the spray unit is activated by motion.
The Red LED light will blink once every 3 seconds when battery power is low.
If battery power is low, replace batteries as indicated above.
- Try with AC/DC Adapter
To ensure its not a battery power issue, try using the unit with the supplied AC/DC adapter. If it works on AC/DC power, then your batteries need replacing.
Spray mechanism activates sporadically
- Move out of direct sunlight / bright reflective light
Direct sunlight or bright reflective light may interfere with the infra-red sensors. If your tower is located in direct sunlight, near a window etc, try locating in an area out of direct light to see if that resolves the problem.
- Adjust Sensor Height
The pump sensor mechanism has a “sweet spot” for detecting motion. You can adjust the height location of the pump up & down to improve the detection sweet spot for your circumstances. To do so, open the tower front door and locate the wing nuts on either side of the pump mechanism. Loosen slightly and slowly move the pump up or down in various locations, whilst moving your hand below the sensors & testing the motion sensitivity of the pump in each of the locations you are moving to. Once you have found the prime location, tighten the wing nuts.
-Check the pickup tube
Check that the end of the pickup tube is sitting on the bottom of the 5L jerry container. If not you can slide the tube up or down through the lid by gently pulling on it the in the appropriate direction, until it rests at the bottom of the container.
-Check sanitiser liquid level
Check that your sanitiser liquid bottle is not empty.
